Thirteen Confirmed Dead in Fatal Nakuru-Eldoret Crash

Thirteen people have been confirmed dead following a tragic early morning accident at Migaa, along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway, on Friday.

The 2 am accident involved a public service vehicle ferrying passengers from Kitale to Nairobi.

Local authorities and emergency responders rushed to the scene in the wake of the crash, on one of the busiest highways in Kenya.

While investigations into the cause are ongoing, preliminary reports point to the urgent need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws and improved road safety measures in this high-risk area.

This accident comes just six months after another fatal accident at the same location, which claimed 14 lives.

The tragic pattern of accidents at Migaa has reignited calls for enhanced safety interventions along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

Migaa has since been officially designated as a “black spot,” where dozens have lost their lives to road carnage along the stretch.

Confirming the incident, police reports indicate that those who lost their lives include eight men, four women and a minor.
