The Federal Government of Somalia reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic ties with the Sultanate of Oman during a high-level meeting held in Mogadishu. Prime Minister H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre welcomed a distinguished Omani delegation led by Eng. Saeed Bin Hamood Bin Saeed Al-Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology.
The discussions centered on deepening collaboration in key sectors, including trade, investment, and technological advancement. Prime Minister Barre underscored Somalia’s strides in economic development and governance, highlighting the vast opportunities for foreign investors, particularly in infrastructure, maritime trade, and technology-driven industries.
Minister Al-Maawali conveyed Oman’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Somalia, acknowledging the country’s notable progress in economic reforms, security improvements, and regional stability.
