MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is set to embark on an official state visit to Tanzania, adding to the more than six foreign trips he has undertaken this month, Caasimada Online news website reported on Monday.
During his visit, President Mohamud will engage in high-level discussions with his Tanzanian counterpart, President Samia Suluhu Hassan, and senior Tanzanian officials.
The talks are expected to focus on a range of bilateral issues, with particular emphasis on Somalia’s integration within the East African Community (EAC), a regional economic bloc that Mogadishu officially joined last year. Both leaders are anticipated to explore ways to strengthen cooperation and chart a path forward for Somalia’s participation in the EAC, with an eye toward enhancing regional stability and economic development.
